Verda Sigura (1984, İzmir-Turkey) is living in Istanbul. Her interest in photography has started in 2008. Currently, her work mostly focuses on identity, people and spaces of the city and personal documentary.

She received her BA degree in Guidance & Psychological Counseling from Boğaziçi University, İstanbul in 2007. She took photography classes from Laleper Aytek at Koç University.  Her work has been included in Koç University Media and Visual Arts Department’s year-end exhibition called “TO BE” (May 8-October 8, 2014)

On January 2017, she attended the workshop “The Photobook Process – From Idea to Maquette to Marketing” conducted by Alex Bocchetto & Valentina Abenavoli, AKINA Books. During this workshop, she produced her first photobook dummy “Love is a distant dream”
